Celebrate Memorial day with this warm weather, summer ready Memorial Day Daiquiri. Really simple to make and very few ingredients needed. You can make this alcoholic or non-alcoholic, either way its fantastic and so refreshing.
My three bases were a summer berry squash that I purchased pre-made (the blue bit), grenadine and vodka (the red bit. Leave out the vodka if you want this non-alcoholic) and for the white bit I used a pina colda mix (mine was an alcoholic mix but feel free to use the non-alcoholic mixers).
All I did was blend each base with about a handful of cocktail ice until they were a slushy consistency and quickly layered them in a glass. Don’t worry about the layers running into each other it just adds to the amazing colour of this cocktail.
If you want to do a batch of drinks simply blend a larger amount of each colour (scale the below recipe up to as many people as you are serving) and store each pitcher of slush in the freezer until needed (just remember to keep stirring each one so as they do not freeze completely.
